About Me

Born in Houston, Texas, I was raised by two artistic parents who encouraged me to follow in their footsteps.  At a young age, my imagination was fueled by growing up around NASA, watching the original Star Wars films, and reading classic literature such as The Hobbit, The Chronicles of Narnia, Dracula, and tales of Greek mythology.  These books opened the doorway of my imagination and once I stepped through that portal, I have never looked back.

I wrote prolifically as a young adult but never published what I had written.  Looking back on those 10,000 hours, I consider it to be my learning curve.   A few decades later, I have written my first novel.  It is a work of historical fiction, a journey into ancient Rome, and a deep dive into the heart and mind of an intriguing man.

My favorite genres are classic literature, Shakespeare, historical fiction, gothic horror, fantasy, and sci-fi.  I love ancient history, the Renaissance period, and the Victorian era.  My favorite theme is the dichotomy of good and evil.  

My favorite novels are Dracula, Pride and Prejudice, The Wheel of Time series, Paradise Lost, the Sandman series, The Egyptian, Casca the Eternal Mercenary series, Rice's The Mummy and Vampire Chronicles, and the Saint-Germain Cycle.
